Spring Break 2011

Well it's been 6 years since I've had a spring break - I had forgotten how wonderful of a thing spring break is!  I'm so thankful to be a stay-at-home mom and get to experience spring break again!!!  Since Trent and I got married, spring break has meant a week at home alone for me as he travels with high school students to go on various mission trips.  But this year Kinley and I took a little trip of our own!

On Sunday, we headed up to good friend's farm.  The countryside was so peaceful and relaxing!  We got to hang out with some of my parents closest friends.  We had such a great time.  This was Kinley's 4 month birthday too!

I. Love. these. cheeks.  (on Kinley, not my dad!)

While Kinley took a nap, I went 4-wheeling with my mom, Vickie, and all the cows - I seriously thought I'd never I'd say that!

On Tuesday, we headed up to Dallas to see my in-laws (Papa Jack and Gram) as well as my sweet sister-in-law Linde!

But first I had to stop at my ALL TIME favorite Dallas restaurant - Green Papaya.  It's sad but true that even after not living in Dallas for 3 years, I can still walk in and know all the people that work there.  It's was fun to catch up with them and get my favorite spring rolls and peanut sauce - yummy!!!

Back to our trip...

We had a great time hanging out with the Thompsons.  It had been since January since they had seen Kinley - we were all glad to get together again!  On Wednesday we decided to go see Dallas Blooms...

One word...AMAZING!!!  The Dallas Arboretum plants 500,000 blooms of tulips and other spring flowers and it is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!  Check out these flowers.

They just go on and on and on....

Some pictures with the fam
What is this face Kinley?!
On Thursday, Sue and I headed over to her father's house - that's Kinley's great-grandfather...a.k.a. PawPaw.  I've been looking forward to this since Christmas since we didn't get the opportunity to see PawPaw and Marie then.

Such a sweet moment....yet I laugh because Kinley HAD to make her duckbill platypus face!

At the end of the week, we headed over to Murphy to see my family again.  Thursday was my brother's 30th birthday and I was so excited to be able to celebrate with him!  Happy Birthday Justin!!!  It was also an excuse to see my precious nephew too.  I just love this little man!

Kinley and Jude enjoying some morning cartoons...I think they are into it, what do you think?
I love love LOVE watching my big brother as a dad - and he's a great one!
And what trip to see Gigi would be complete without a photo session!

I think Kinley enjoyed her first Spring Break!
